    About Philip Pellegrino

    Dr. Philip J. Pellegrino is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He is board certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology and is a diplomate in Cognitive Therapy from the renowned Academy of Cognitive Therapy.  Dr. Pellegrino is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, The Pennsylvania Psychological Association, and the Association for Behavioral and Contextual Science.

    Dr. Pellegrino has extensive experience and expertise in the treatment of anxiety disorders, mood difficulties, substance use problems, trauma, and complex behavioral problems. His clinical work uses contemporary cognitive behavioral approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based approaches.

    Dr. Pellegrino has a sub specialty in the treatment of addiction and substance abuse problems. He advocates for a harm reduction approach to treating those suffering from substance abuse problems. Dr. Pellegrino incorporates motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral approaches to the treatment of addiction.
